But after the first episode, I can confirm that this show is amazing (for now)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood the need to cast a skinny, handsome actor and put him in massive prosthetics and a thick suit… especially when I think he looks like some other famous actors who could also be good. I also didn’t quite understand why this spin-off came about, and to be honest, I’m just sick of Batman reboots.
But I didn’t expect to like it so much
I watched it, only knowing that it was necessary to watch the bridge between the first and second films and my surprise at Farrell in my role in the first. The acting is great, the script is great and surprised me with some quick turns of events. What I liked most was that there was much more color here than in Batman.

I noticed this almost immediately, as this was my biggest complaint about the film (it felt like I was watching it through Zack Snyder’s lens). I hope it’s as good as it is now because I really can’t wait for the next episode. Season 5, Episode 2, “The Squid Game”; The second season and other highly anticipated new and returning series that will appear on television and streaming.
