Plot
Charles, a retiree, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes an informant in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Michael Schur was inspired to create “A Man On the Inside” after watching the Chilean documentary “The Mole Agent.” He says, “The Mole Agent” is powerful because it makes people feel something remarkably similar across all ages, ethnicities, and genders, and I would describe that feeling in a very reductive way as “I need to call my mom.” In our show, we try to do something similar with the tone: Basically, does our show contribute to that feeling of wanting to call our moms?
How can you not appreciate Ted Danson
Dudes, a legend, like Tom Selleck’s mustache. Anyway, I thought this show was a total blast.
Especially in the later stages when things really matter for the right reasons
Some really funny lines, two very attractive female leads, which is always good, and also, a great message about the bonds that are formed in life. I also found this show resonated with me as it deals with dementia.
I definitely recommend this series, and I’m also looking forward to another season
Having recently lost my father, and battling this terrible disease, it just made me feel more connected. However, as each episode progressed, I became more invested, and found each character charming and endearing in their own unique way.
