Plot
After being released from prison, mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi heads to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a cast of unusual characters. Sylvester Stallone’s first starring role in a television series.

Dwight “The General” Manfredi: I don’t go to church at all. The opening credits show various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, superimposed on the New York skyline: a statue of Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds” wearing a military headdress and a bone choker (breastplate), perched atop the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Western Gateway Arch on Highway 66, located on Manhattan’s main “avenue.” In New York City, in the Manhattan area, there are several numbered “avenues” that intersect with smaller, numbered streets. I’ve always liked Stallone, over the years, yes he’s obsessed with sequels, but he’s made some great movies, sprinkled in a few classics along the way.
Interesting to watch, definitely worth a watch
“In Tulsa” King might be his best work just from an acting standpoint, he just cold-bloodedly got used to the role of the mob boss. The show itself has an interesting story, it’s well written, making full use of the humor of a New York gangster in Tulsa, Oklahoma without becoming silly, adding a good dose of violence, a good script and dialogue, and a great cast of supporting actors and characters, and they have a winner.
