In the gutter, oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) gets a job tending bar and cleaning up roaches at the local bowling alley AlleyCatz, feeling like he’s finally found a home. When financial troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt finds himself under pressure from former pro bowler and current alcoholic champion Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the world’s greatest bowler. As Walt’s penchant for big checks and a bold style dominates the pro circuit, his critics, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angel Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously try to snuff out Walt’s flame, which burns too hotly for him.
